While Eunuch children do still occur by accident for any number of reasons (botched circumcision being the most infamous), it is more unusual for the parents of such a child to decide NOT to provide them with hormone replacement. I’m assuming the psychology of the Eunuch that you value is, fundamentally, about how a brain develops in the absence of hormones. I would think that a Eunuch raised on synthetic hormones would be psychologically indistinguishable from an intact man. So, if your friend was not raised on them, I’m curious as to why not? Were his parents too poor to afford them? Or am I getting too personal?
